Association québécoise des troubles d’apprentissage (AQETA)

AQETA Outaouais is a non-profit organization incorporated under the Companies Act, Part III of the Province of Quebec.

We offer assistance, information, listening and support to families and individuals living with a learning disability and/or ADD with or without hyperactivity.

The organization is granted by Centraide Outaouais and by the Centre Intégré de santé et de services sociaux de l’Outaouais (CISSSO-PSOC).

In order to maintain and develop new services, AQETA carries out self-financing activities, such as the televised bingo and the Gatineau police breakfast.

Mission and Vision

To raise awareness, support and increase understanding of the challenges of the everyday lives of individuals experiencing manifestations of one or more learning disabilities and/or ADHD and their families in order to enhance their inclusion and full social participation.

To be the reference in terms of learning disabilities: it accomplishes its mission and its vision by supporting people with learning disabilities and their families, by defending their rights in front of institutions, by training workers and by raising public awareness.
